Mark Metzendorf joined Manpower in June 2008 and is focused on the strategic positioning of the Manpower brand and driving business growth in the United States.

Prior to joining Manpower, Mark was Managing Director at Marsh McLennan in New York City where he led the Americas sales team responsible for new sales of risk advisory and insurance brokerage services.

Prior to Marsh, Mark was at AT&T Business Services for 21 years in a wide variety of disciplines and executive leadership roles. During his last four years with the organization, he served as Vice President of the Mid Market business segment responsible for delivering the full range of communications solutions to more than 120,000 mid-sized customers representing over $2B in annual revenue.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a master’s degree in business administration/marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. While at AT&T, he attended the communications training program at Bell Laboratories and the executive development program at the Kellogg School of Management. He resides with his wife and four children in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Pauline Klaffenboeck is Vice President of Global Trade Services at the M&I Marshall & Ilsley Bank, Milwaukee. She has been with M&I’s International Department for 30 years. In her current capacity as Vice President for Trade Services, she assists companies with their international needs, specializing in foreign political and economic risks. She has traveled to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific regions as well as Mexico and Canada on behalf of the bank.

Pauline was born in Madison, Wisconsin where she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She graduated from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, majoring in French, German and Spanish. Prior to joining M&I Bank she spent four years in a bank in Salzburg, Austria as a foreign exchange trader.

In 1993 she served as chairperson of the National Association of Credit Managers, International Credit Executive Group. She is past President of the Madison International Trade Association and has served on the International Trade Advisory Committee of the Milwaukee Area Technical College. Pauline currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Wisconsin District Export Council. She is Chairperson of the Board of the International Institute of Wisconsin, a committee member of Governor Doyle’s Wisconsin International Trade Council and a member of the Bankers Association for Foreign Trade.

Jodi is founder and managing consultant of Global Agiliti, LLC, an operations management consulting firm. Global Agiliti helps organizations develop and implement a global operations strategy; implement business transformation and transition programs for organizational and cost efficiencies, and aids in program and project management of key operations initiatives.

Prior to starting Global Agiliti, LLC, Jodi served in a variety of strategy, operations and marketing functions at CNA Insurance. As Director of Operations, she was responsible for transitioning the Institutional Market’s business unit from a growth organization into a closed book of business. She also conducted an extensive onshore and offshore outsourcing evaluation for the runoff organization. Just before leaving CNA, she developed a business case for Institutional Markets’ offshore outsourcing initiative that was approved by executive management in 2007.

Previously, Jodi worked as a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and as an explosives engineer for the Department of Navy. She has worked in the financial services, healthcare, consumer and process goods, and energy verticals helping organizations with business planning, organization design and improvement, and outsourcing and offshoring.

Jodi has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University with concentrations in finance, operations, and strategy. She is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Outsourcing Professional (COP)

Founder and President of The Omanhene Cocoa Bean Company, Steve oversees the strategic direction of Omanhene and divides his time between the US and Ghana.

Wallace spent the summer of 1978 in Ghana, West Africa as a high school foreign exchange student. He returned at the age of 29 to start The Omanhene Cocoa Bean Co. Omanhene is the first entity to sustain exports of gourmet chocolate made entirely in Africa. He has been recognized by President Jimmy Carter and former ambassador Shirley Temple Black, among others, for this entrepreneurial accomplishment. Omanhene has been recognized by the United Nations Global Compact for its path-breaking business model and corporate citizenship. He is featured in the soon-to-be published book, “Food Heroes” by Georgia Pellegrini.

Previously, Wallace worked in broadcasting in the newsroom of WMAL-AM 63, a network-owned radio station in Washington, DC and then as an attorney with the boutique tax law firm of Silverstein & Mullens in Washington, DC. He later served as the vice-president of Midstates Sportswear. He served on the board of directors of AFS-USA, Inc. and on the board of trustees of AFS Intercultural Programs, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude (Phi Beta Kappa) from Brown University and a juris doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School. Mr. Wallace lives in Milwaukee, WI with his wife and three children.

John Bengel’s experience encompasses several sectors of international financial activities. These range from international banking with the First National Bank of Chicago, to international financial advisor to money center banks related to asset and liability management, to project management in support of USAID in Central Asia, to organizing and managing leasing companies in Central Asia on behalf of foreign investors.

Noteworthy among these experiences is the breadth of understanding of risk and risk management. Mr. Bengel has experience in project management in Central Asia as a consultant for the first USAID projects in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan regarding corporate governance, shareholders’ rights, stock exchange formation and securities regulation. He was subsequently invited by Case Corporation (now CNH) to organize a joint venture agricultural equipment leasing company in Uzbekistan, and several years later established a wholly-owned leasing subsidiary in Kazakhstan for Raiffeisen Leasing International, Vienna. He has most recently served as an outside director and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Leasing Group LLP in Kazakhstan, and as a consultant for USAID in Baku, Azerbaijan, regarding leasing.

John is based in Brookfield Wisconsin where he started his career with FedEx International Field Sales over 6 years ago He gained a broad experience of international business working with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, United Airlines and working as a consultant to the hospitality industry.  He was recently promoted to the Worldwide Sales team where he manages some of FedEx’s largest corporate accounts.

He was elected in 2006 to the Board of Directors for the Milwaukee World Trade Association and in June 2009 became the President.  As a member of the MWTA John helps support local resources and learning for all members with a core aim to expand Southeastern Wisconsin's role in the international marketplace.  

John also supports the Global Business Advisory Board of the Waukesha County Technical College as the Joint Chair Person and is a board member of the International Institute of Wisconsin and the Friends of the Golda Meir Library.  He is a Member of UWM Institute of World Affairs and has been a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society based in the United Kingdom since 1988.

John earned a Master of Science degree in Transport Planning and Management from the University of Westminster (1994) and Geography degree with honors from Kings College, University of London (1990) part of the Joint School of Geography with London School of Economics.  He has a strong interest in Asia and undertook several undergraduate courses at the School of Oriental and African Studies.  

During his Master of Science degree his dissertation was conducted in the South Pacific Kingdom of Tonga 1994 where he focused on Airlines & Tourism development.  For his undergraduate degree he was the joint leader of the Kings College & London School of Economics Geography Expedition to Nepal 1989 that conducted social economic and physical studies of the potential impact of a proposed highway development sponsored by the World Bank.  On return he was invited by the Lord Mayor of London along with Mark Bulmer to present the research findings of the team at his official residence in London, the Mansion House.

Vice President, Strategic Development at InSinkErator, a division of Emerson Electric Co. At InSinkErator Frank is responsible for International marketing and sales to approximately 100 countries, marketing and sales for the division’s Foodservice business, and acquisitions. A key responsibility has been to open up new international markets where our products were previously unknown to consumers or were unable to be sold because of local government regulations.

InSinkErator is the world’s largest manufacturer of household food waste disposers and instant hot water dispensers. Emerson Electric is a diversified global manufacturing and technology company serving industrial, commercial and consumer markets around the world.

Before joining InSinkErator he worked with S.C. Johnson & Son (Johnson Wax) in marketing positions in Canada, Mexico and the U. S., most recently responsible for worldwide business development. Frank previously worked with the Quaker Oats Co. in England in a variety of marketing positions.

He has a B.A. and an M.A. from Cambridge University, England.
