Milwaukee World Trade Association Education Program I Thursday, December 2, 4:00-5:30 (Past President's Nite) REGISTER ONLINE NOW (Note: Internet Explorer required) As regular if not frequent business travelers, you are most likely skilled in limiting your airfare and hotel costs due to budget cuts, packing lightly to avoid extra luggage fees, and being a productive worker even while up in the air. However, in the current environment of increased State Department travel warnings due to terrorist attacks, crime and kidnappings, have you thought about actions you can take to reduce your personal level of risk? Given vague directives to “be aware” while you travel, how can you be proactive to make yourself more safe and secure? Moreover, what responsibility does your company have to develop a travel risk management strategy for its employees?
REGISTER ONLINE NOW (Note: Internet Explorer required) Join us for a panel presentation given by:
Alex Puig, Regional Security Director, Americas, International SOS. Alex is responsible for managing security assistance and consultancy services, including the monitoring and analysis of political and security events, the provision of security advice and the coordination of security assistance and evacuation operations. He oversees a regional team of security specialists who conduct security risk assessments, crisis management plans, and security and crisis training. Alex was the co-lead for International SOS’s team on the ground that evacuated 100 people from Haiti and helped hundreds more. He will discuss how companies can utilize existing and new resources to build a duty of care culture. In addition, Alex will speak about trends in travel security management and provide travel security updates.
Jason Rosselot, Director of Security, Americas/Enterprise Security, Johnson Controls. Jason directs the security program of Johnson Controls’ 130,000 employees. For five years, he also ran the travel security program for Eli Lilly and Company. As a Special Agent for the US Department of State-Diplomatic Security Service, Jason conducted security in over 30 countries including 18 months in post-conflict Kosovo. Jason is a regular presenter to groups planning travel abroad, such as the study abroad programs of Notre Dame University. His remarks will be focused upon the concrete actions you can take, including behavior modifications, to reduce your personal risk of harm while traveling.
The panel presentation and Q&A will be moderated by Adele Walsh, Past President of the MWTA and Senior Product Sales Representative for Johnson Controls.
